COURSE DISCRIPTION:
An analysis of the techniques used in computer manipulation of two- and three-dimensional images.
Hardware and software for displaying images, two- and three-dimensional transformations,
the hidden line problem, picture processing, character recognition, and two-dimensional filtering.
PREREQUISITES: Grade of C or better in C+IN SC 1166 (0066), 2107 (0072),
and 2168 (0068); Grade of C or better in Mathematics 1042 (0086)

SYLLABUS and LAB ASSIGNMENTS:

MINIQUIZ AND HOMEWORK: Each week there will be one 20 - 25 minute
miniquiz based on the current homework assignment
for the week. There will be no make up quizzes; however, you will
be allowed to drop your lowest two quiz grade.
Each quiz will be worth 10pts. The quizzes will count for 30% of the final
grade. You may bring two 3.5 by 5 inch index cards
filled with your own notes to each miniquiz.

EXAMS: You may bring one 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper filled with your own handwritten notes to each exam.
The notes are to be handed in with the exam and are worth at least 4 pts.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Your grade for the course will be based on the following:
Lab assignments (40%)
Exam and Quizzes (45%)
Final Project (15%)
