Research Experience for Undergraduates in Next Generation Networking Technologies

The Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Temple University is offering a summer research program for qualified undergraduate students. We are looking to bring 10 undergraduate students together for an intensive 8-week on-campus research program to gain hands-on experience working on next generation networking technologies. The site is co-funded by the Department of Defense in partnership with the NSF REU program.
Why participate?
This is a great opportunity to learn more about research by working with closely with the research faculty at Temple University. Through this program, you will gain hands-on training in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a research project, as well as experience with graduate student life and a greater awareness of professional career options. - A $4,000 stipend
- On-campus housing and meals provided
- Travel expenses to and from REU Site
How do I apply?

We encourage applications from students who are also members of a group underrepresented in computing (e.g., women, African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Pacific Islanders, persons with disabilities, first generation higher education, low income, etc) or who are enrolled in a minority, women's, or non-doctoral institution.
Who is eligibility?
The applicant has to meet the following criteria. Please email REU Site directors regarding any questions. Contact information is given below.- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Have a 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0)
- Be a Junior or Senior majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or computer-related major
- Be committed to work 40 hours per week on campus during the REU Site period.
